here’s some of my favorites

Earthjustice came to Vocal Media with two key goals: Increasing awareness of their work as a non-profit protecting the climate and environment, and fundraising to support that mission

For many social impact campaigns fundraising and awareness tend to be antithetical. Audiences are most likely to financially support causes they already know and care about. And it takes a while to warm up to non-profits they’ve just learned about. We needed to bridge that gap

To solve this, we partnered with creators whose audiences were primed to support Earthjustice’s mission, but likely wouldn’t know about Earthjustice itself. I targeted high-profile creators in the wildlife and conservation content niche like Animalogic and Maya Higa that already cared deeply about similar environmental causes, with the goal to build genuine relationships between the influencers and the organization moving forward

Creators Against Childhood Cancer

Children’s Cancer Research Fund wanted to develop their creator and influencer fundraising efforts, and brought me on to build a new program that would become ‘Creators Against Childhood Cancer’

Through CACC, I introduced pediatric cancer patients to their favorite YouTubers, facilitated hangout sessions with esports athletes in their favorite games, and developed a strong ambassador network of creators that doubled peer-to-peer donations to Children’s Cancer Research Fund year over year

Between open-invite creator community events, bespoke influencer fundraising campaigns, and partnerships with game developers, CACC raised over 230% of the organization’s goal in the first two years of operation

I couldn’t not include my own content, right? I’m proud of my work, it’s going on the site

I developed and produced Wisely Wars, an influencer event for Rivals of Aether 2 that reached over 10 million aggregate followers across 30 creators including names like BarleyTheBurr, Coney, Failboat, and Ludwig. Only six of the invited creators were endemic to the Rivals community; coaches invited to train the new players. The other 24 invitees were from different content genres, ranging from variety gamers to arts & cooking creators. This lineup was split into six teams so the players could learn the game together with a professional coach before a final competition. The event was specifically designed to showcase what it’s like to learn a fighting game while putting creator personality and team comradery on full display

Wisely Wars was sponsored by Aether Studios and Offbrand Games, Rivals 2’s developer and publisher. The event was promoted by their team on socials, along with activations in-game, on Twitch, and on Steam

Many of the streamers have continued to play the game even after the event wrapped up, leading to sustained interest in Rivals 2 and its competitive community

Across the two weeks of training and the three days of competition, Rivals 2 saw a 20% increase in the active player count on Steam and an over 500% increase in weekly average viewership on Twitch. My personal channels saw over 400% viewership growth, and creators and their audiences are already asking for Wisely Wars 2
